Would I imagine a Sojourn?
And not crying after I was born.
Fear for my mom, saw me having jaundice in her mid life crisis
Or my dad, who paid all the prices
They fought on, got me to where I belong
Having a kitty-katty life,
Less fun, for which I would never suffice.
But they always held there nerve, for them, I was all above
Then the day broke, when I took a smoke
N emptied beer bottles in plenty.
But for them, I was chaste ahem.
Now I realize, what a fool I was
Destroying what their confidence was.
A time came, when I was physically out of the game
But, they held on, like the First Day, I was born
Indebted my life on their care
Time has come, to bare it all here.
Yes, I have been a pompous bastard
But remember,
We all come back home, for mamma’s custard
I am coming home, quitting things in which I never shone.
Amen
